How Art Saved Me from Hopelessness and Directionless Life.

Before getting ahead, I am really happy and thankful to everyone who visited my blog and read my blog post. I know it is only for Alexa… but you have no idea how happy I am to receive so many comments…

I hope I somehow win some of your hearts and manage to make some of you’ll my regular visitors and readers… *fingers crossed*

I am not in the best of spirits these days and was having second thoughts about Alexa Campaign. I am facing self-doubts not just with blogging, but also with my art, as well as how life is moving… I feel I am drowning in the ocean of hopelessness…

And the irony is I am writing this blog post to tell you how Art saved me from being directionless and hopeless in life.

Perhaps, reading some blogs motivated me to continue and here I am writing the most awaited blog post I wanted to write.

So this is my first post for Blogchatter’s Alexa Campaign and yes, I am running a bit late, but I hope I am able to catch up and I get the same amount of love and encouragement ( or even more) as much I got for my previous blogpost…

Even though I have stopped making cartoons this blog post does contain some cartoons as I really wanted to complete this one cartoon project and not leave it incomplete.

A story board I was working when I used to make cartoons.

If someone would have told me I will become an artist one day, that too a multi-talented one, while I was in school or much younger… I would have laughed rolling on the floor.

Seriously, I was horrible when it came to drawing and art and was not quite interested in it…

However, life has it’s own ways of getting you where you belong…

I don’t know how to put forward my feelings and make justice to this blog post because I have been very excited to share this one along with the cartooning I wanted to share.

I really wanted to share it in the form of animation or something but let’s go ahead with what limited resources and time I have here…Let’s dive into this little nonsensical story…

How did Art Saved Me

Since childhood, I had no particular aim. Except like every typical father, once my father had mentioned he would like his son to be an engineer and daughter a doctor…

But neither his son is an engineer (he is a sailor) and nor am I doctor… If you wish to know about me read here

I was struck with this ‘Ambitions and Goals’ question in the year 2013, where I even faced the dark monster for the first time…

The dark monster is very dangerous (and he is currently sitting on my shoulder while I am writing this blog post πŸ™ __)It’s like those dementors mentioned in Harry Potter Series… They suck every ounce of hope and life out of you…

But some how then in the year 2013,’Pen Fairy’ visited me and blessed me with the power of words…

That is when I started writing and discovered blogging, story writing and got three of my short stories published in three different anthology books.

But then I had college and studies… Even though, I made a complete wrong choice of choosing commerce and was pursuing management studies, I never belonged there. I always belonged to art fields and I wish I had not made the wrong choice then.

I even wanted to leave my studies mid-way and do something related to writing, but my parents pushed me to continue as it was just my last year in bachelors studies…

This is when I used to write poems to vent out my frustration and feelings…

In 2016, I also did a basic course in graphic designing which was one of the best decisions as it is serving me well today. I wished I had known about my art skills long back and did something in the field of graphic designing from the beginning itself.

In 2017, life gave me the best gift of pursuing my dream… That is pursuing post-graduation in English Literature… This is the degree I hold with pride and you see, I ended up where I belonged… I completed my education with a degree in Arts… Yayieee.

So let’s get back to our story…

In 2018, out of the blue… Brush fairy summoned me and gifted me with the power of colors… That is when I started painting and truly it is a blessing from Almighty as I just used to watch a tutorial or see a picture and re-create it…

However, when I finished my post-graduation studies, I became clueless as to what to do next with my life… I wanted to do something related to art and writing and stay close to my passion…

But since it took me time to figure it all out and I was being clueless, I thought to focus my attention on something fruitful and that is when I decided to publish my collection of poems on Amazon Kindle…

And between all this, Pencil fairy came to my rescue only to fill me up with the remaining of the artist powers… That is when I started training myself to draw cartoons and I happened to mix my drawing skills with graphic illustrations as well.

Some one close to me then recommended me to an awareness group foundation known as Chronic Pain India whose founder was impressed with my artistic skills and that is how I landed my first illustrator designing professional project.

However, it wasn’t easy, the dark monster kept visiting me, I was stressed but gladly it ended up well. I still go back and have a look at my work because no matter what it was my first project as an illustrator and it means a lot to me…

When 2019, was ending I decided to work more on my skills and re-start my journey as an illustrator and blogger. So I worked on my blog and my logo. I created new Instagram account and started to illustrate some cartoons for the new beginnings…

When 2020 started I started my new journey…But like I said, the darkness monster never leaves me alone… I had to stop making cartoons due to some personal religious beliefs… only to replace them with some more amazing art skills…

Read how I faced failure yet found a closure and get to know some of my new artistic skills

Brush Lettering Art.

So now I am into Acrylics + Water Color Paintings, I also do some brush calligraphy art, and some modern illustrations…

I am also trying my best to write better and seo related blog post and practice some digital marketing techniques so that I can take my blogging skills to another level…

Acrylic Paintings

Here, I am trying to be jack of all trades and master of none…

But the most important thing that never cease to leave my mind is…when will I write a best selling novel… That is one dream that I think about everyday….and yet I can’t figure out that best-selling story…

So this is how art always came to my rescue and helped me from drowning in the ocean of melancholy…

Water Color Paintings.

Even though sometimes I really find it hard to keep up with my skills ands talent and find myself drowning in the ocean of doubts and hopelessness… But somehow I always find my way…

These days it’s not different…I am trying my best to stay strong and keep going…but sometimes I find it hard…

You can frame paintings and brush lettering art like this in a frame and put them on walls or keep them on your desk.

Anyway, keeping the melancholic thoughts aside…so if you are looking for some illustrations or paintings for yourself or to gift someone, you know I am right here…

some illustration work I am currently working on…

If you have any illustrations or paintings related commission work, please drop me an email on kondkarinazish95@gmail.com.

Hope you enjoyed this not so happening story but I tried my best to give it a good shot…

That’s when I accidentally discovered that a few people took my writing and art work seriously! And hence I started my blogging journey and am still learning a lot. I also joined art classes to polish my sketching and painting skills.
The dark monster visits me often and brings me down everytime. But no one can stop me from doing something I love. So, I pick myself up again and just do what’s in my hands: write and paint.
