Remember the Matra?
“No one and nothing matters, all that matters is you and yourself. Learn to love yourself first, rest everything will fall in place. Trust me!”
I know I did not blog yesterday, because I was too tired on Sunday, had too much of screen time which stressed my eyes and had a minor headache. So I have decided to take Sunday’s off from blogging and also from practicing illustrations. Today I am not going to give any life lessons or theory or anything…
Today, I am sharing a funny story, and also my beauty secret… Lol!
Once upon a time, my skin was going through a rough phase. It had been attacked by the malicious monster “The Acne”. They say this monster is a dangerous one. It is stubborn and does not leave the skin alone. It stays on for years and sometimes, even for life and makes the skin dull, makes one’s confidence go low and is one hell devil to fight against.
My skin suffered for so many years, it was deteriorating and going dull day by day. It had marks and scars that seemed to never leave by. I had completely lost all hopes and had stopped to even bother. My skin suffered alone.
Then one night, a savior entered my life and its name was Rose Water. Every night before going to bed I started applying Rosewater on my skin and used to even spray in the morning after washing off my face. Rosewater fought valiantly with acne monsters and it helped my skin to heal. This way slowly, the acne got defeated and my skin regained its value and it felt much better. Now my facial skin and rose water are best friends and my skin cannot live without Rosewater…
I will reveal a secret to you but shhh shhh it’s a secret. okay? They are kind of soul mates. Can slowly turn into love birds too…
I don’t know if you enjoyed the story but to cut it short, Rosewater has been a healing agent in many ways since ages. It’s been used in beauty products, perfumes, and even food. It’s been used for ages.
It heals the cuts and helps in skin irritation. It also helps with skin burns. It can be used on infected eyes, by dipping cotton in rose water and keeping it on the eye for some minutes. It’s also a great toner and cleanser and can highly be effective on acne and oily skin.
It’s the most important product in my daily skincare routine following aloe vera gel. These two are the only stuff I happen to apply on my face. Recently, I had even sprayed rose water on wet hair and it’s also said to be a good conditioning source for hair as well. It helps as an anti-aging factor and also helps in enhancing mood and can release stress if used in some candles or essential oils.
I also use rose water as a makeup remover and even before applying make-up I spray rose water on my face. Before going to bed I make sure to wash my face with my face wash and then apply rose water on my face with the help of cotton.
You can even keep rose water in the refrigerator during summers and spray the cold rosewater on your face after coming back from outside or even cleanse your face with cotton and rosewater.
To actually notice effects of such natural products such as rose water, one needs to be patient and should use it for a longer time. Only then the effects will be noticed. One cannot expect natural products to work in a day or by just one night.
So yeah! This is the reason and story behind my facial skin and Rosewater love story/friendship. Do you use rosewater? or any other natural products that have been your survivor? Do share your favorite skincare natural products.
