New BEGINNINGS!

Starting over can be challenging, but also it can be a great opportunity to do things differently.

Catherine Pulsifer

Hi! I have a very nervous feeling writing this blog as if I am going school for the first time. It’s been a year almost and I have not blogged anything and here I am now to tell you my blog journey.

I was 18 when I realized I want to be a writer. At first, I started penning down my thoughts in a notebook, and then I discovered blogging. I started blogging in 2013 making my blog on WordPress for free. It was great as I was doing something really different and something really new. But I soon became irregular and it did not help me in any way. After sometime I came back to blogging but made a different blog on blogger platform and there even though being quite regular enough I failed to gain readers and quit blogging again.

Then in 2017, I came back to blogging and this time again I made a new blogging account on word press itself but guess what? This time this blog did make some noise and while I was also working under a friend as a content blogger. When the site where I was working as a content blogger was closed down I was given a new blog which had my name as its URL and I was so excited. But somehow I did not manage to gain as much readership on my blog as much as I did on a previous one. Finally, the blog which was gifted closed down because I lost interest in it and also I was careless enough to subscribe for my domain and website for the next year. The whole website closed down and lost some of my good content.

So with a heart break and regret I continued on my old blog and also shifted all the content from my first 2 blogs to my 3rd blog. But somehow I was again losing to gain readership and I was losing interest. But blogging was always a calling. No matter whatever I tried, however careless and lazy I would be I was always coming back to blogging. So last year, I made a decision blogging is my thing and I will surely get back to it but this time with full commitment and a strong ‘Plan’.

Yes! The most important thing I was lacking through out my blogging journey was a plan. Running a blog is not easy, one needs to have a plan, be committed and work super hard towards it. So, last year I decided this time I am myself going to buy a domain, and making my own blog website and will blog with full dedication.

To my surprise, even after all the ifs and buts and between all the chaos I am here, with no knowledge of anything about domain, web hosting, and anything techie related issues about making your own website, I managed to do all of it alone. I bought the domain, I bought the web hosting, made my website, transferred all the content to this blog from my old blog. EVERYTHING ON MY OWN.

Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.
Theodore Roosevelt

No! I am not bragging, I am just proud of myself for making it possible even when it seemed impossible. It is a huge thing for me to do something that seemed so complicated to me at first place. I was reading a lot since last year about blogging and how to go about it. I had to do loads of research and read and ask questions to people which may seem so silly but anyway I did it. Also, this time I am back with a plan. A plan which I am hoping will work out. I will be posting 3 posts a week, Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. As you may have noticed (if not then after reading this blog do notice on my homepage) that my blog has several categories. There is a page ‘About’ which gives a short bio about me, there are categories like Beauty where I will post about beauty tips and review some products I use and might be a help for you, there is a category as Bibliophile which will have blog post about book reviews, my current read, books I bought, everything related to books. Then there is a category about self-improvement which will have blog posts about life and lessons and self-care. Writers muse will mostly have writing/blogging tips, short stories, poems. Miscellaneous will have blog posts about everything random that don’t fall under the rest of the categories. So you see, I already have a plan now I just need to stick to it.

Blogging has been my thing and I admire so many bloggers out there and here I am to make my way through every odds that may come my way.
But since April is round the corner, I have different plans for April and about that, I will be posting it on Saturday.

Till then Asta Lavista! Hope you have a great week ahead and hope my blog post made your Monday Musings! a little better.
